Sea to Land, Toeun Gallery, Jeju 2025
The exhibition captures the colors of Jeju as it transitions from spring into summer. Between April and July, Min has collected, fragmented, and reassembled natural materials—such as sand, abalone shells, wildflowers, and hydrangeas—through a repetitive, meditative process. This act goes beyond simple collecting or creating; it becomes a way of being present with the world through quiet, sustained attention.
All living things are intertwined and inseparable from their environments. As Min reflects, “Organisms echo the environment they inhabit, and those traces are engraved within them.” Life forms through continuous resonance with its surroundings. Perception, too, is not merely a tool to interpret nature, but part of the same field of vibration.
Rather than using color to depict a landscape, this exhibition explores how color seeps into the senses. It invites viewers to breathe with nature, to feel with it, and to resonate alongside it.
