“In a small square, the found materials reflect the environment they inhabited.”

In continued celebration of the natural pigments discovered in Lisbon, this series focuses on shells and their vibrant environments. Each small square captures the essence of the habitat where the shells reside. The deep blue mirrors the body of water, with waves crashing against rugged rocks, evoking the dynamic interplay of land and sea. The iridescent shells reflect the warm hues of a sunset, as the evening light dances on the water’s surface. These natural pigments, sourced from the environment, are elegantly framed within patterns inspired by traditional Portuguese tiles, creating a harmonious blend of nature and cultural heritage.
