MOON CHILD

2021

White stoneware, glaze, handbuilding

When observing the moon from a distance, it appears as a floating white sphere in the sky, undergoing daily changes in location and shape. However, upon closer inspection, the moon's surface reveals various types and sizes of craters that often go unnoticed.

The name derives from the resemblance of these faces to the moon, with each face exhibiting distinct expressions and markings akin to the lunar surface. Through the process of pinching, adding, and subtracting, each face acquires a unique fingerprint. When observing the Moon Child, one will continuously discover new markings and textures that were previously unseen. With their individualistic features and distinct markings, each Moon Child sparks a connection with different individuals.
